New Features for SUPRA SQL
New features in release 2.9.30 are:
Database Administrators need a utility to help them tune their system’s performance. Moreover, they want to monitor application, transaction and table activity so that their resources can be best deployed. Monitor/Statistics allows administrators to gather statistics about all user transactions processed through the SUPRA Server SQL database. This data can then be used for performance analysis as well as to monitor all activities within the database.
Stored-procedure support is provided allowing the encapsulation of business logic and enhanced performance. Because stored procedures are stored directly in the database, they may remove all or part of the compilation overhead where software applications send dynamic SQL queries to a database. A major advantage with stored procedures is that they can run directly within the database server. The benefit here is that network communication costs can be avoided completely.
